Carved and tooled on 2-3oz Royal Meadows leather <3

As always, I don't own Sailor Moon.

Carving time: About 2 hours if you include letting it dry.. else about 90min.
Sealed with a spray, I believe it was Leather Sheen.

Well... I guess I'm on a Sailor Moon kick... mostly because I like the art. Any fans remember that painting of Haruka that Michiru did? I always loved that one...

And, really.... any excuse to practice sheerness and layers is fun...

And so is trying out a very expensive leather <3. Sorry, it's totally worth the price. I think I'm in love!!!

Anyhoooo... So I wanted to try stuff with the hair - instead of beveling EVERY strand and making it so fake-looking, I tried using my modeling tool for a softer look. I also didn't bevel her arms in the cloth, used the modeling tool there, too.

I did bevel the other lines, and give a light texture to her little dress, and I didn't use the mallet when I beveled the folds in the cloth, just pressed and lightly rubbed.

After the tooling, I took a pear shader and my modeling tool and smoothed the background. I made it darker closer to her, like she's standing in a spotlight, her head blocking the light.

I wanted to make her light. I wanted to make her fly. I wanted to make her radiant.

I believe that that piece has already been sold, but I would be more than willing to commission another one. :)

Size of the piece wasn't large; I'll have to check my pattern for the exact size.
Prior to shipping, it would be $20, for time and materials.

Thanks, and it is finished.. I sealed it with a waxy finish.. I kind of like having it as a scrap piece to show how that leather handles vs what I'd been using. :)
