Well... it's finally finished!!
Tooling Time: 25 hrs
Color Time: approx 4.5hrs
Assembly Time: 2 hrs
TOTAL: 31.5 hours of pure work
Materials:
Tooled on cow hide.
Laced with thick cow lace.
Closure is kangaroo lace and a spiffy bead.

Well, here it is in all of it's glory!
A few features I would like to point out... The closure makes it easier to get in and out of the purse. The reason for the kangaroo lace there is that it is stronger and smoother than the other lace. As a closure, it's going to be getting more wear and tear.
One side, as you can see here, has a lace going across the gusset. Why? Well, for your keys, of course! I don't know about you, but alot of folks use those carabiner keychains... but still toss their keys in their purse, then have to fish them out. This is so you can easily hook your keys, or slide a large key into it for quick retrieval!
The closure is a bead - heavy enough to hold it closed, but still letting you get in and out of the purse. The lace in the front there can be tightened or loosed around the bead/kangaroo lace to give you your choice of how much space you need in a purse.
All in all, I am SO HAPPY with it!! *glee*

Excellent use of colors in this piece! The flowers are a really nice ornament and I like that they are wrapping the main latch to show its importance. Good job thinking about the user with the key/carabiner hook. The arch of the side of the purse gives a beautiful feminine line. If I could offer any advice I would say think like you did with the key hook more. If think about your user first and than create a beautiful purse in response to that information your user will be extremely appreciative. Try to have that as a primary starting point for creation. I only say that because it is what I do, not beautiful intensive craft like this. Very very beautiful.
